Holocaust Records
I received International Tracing Service (Red Cross) index cards from Yad Vashem in early 1998 due to request for Zwieback. Four cards listed Zwiebacks as follows:
- File F-18-59: Giuseppe Zwieback, born 1900, birth place Fericanci, father Jacob, Yugoslav Jew, last known location Roma Italy on 10 July 1944.
- File F-18-59: Joza Cvibak, Yugoslav Jew, last known location Arzignano, Vicenza, Italy
- File VCC148: Irene Zwieback, last known location Vienna 14, Brudermann gasse 6, 10/23/1941
- Inquiry No. 22525: Oskar Zwieback, birth 3/17/1876, Address, Zagreb, Yugoslavia 1939. Also Gizela Deutsch Zwieback, born 5/16/1895. See Vienna records.
Both the Austrian Red Cross and the Vienna Archives MA8 reported that Heinrich Zwieback, born 1879 in Hungary, was "deported to Riga, Lativa on Jan. 11, 1942."
